Wheat Pizza without oven (on tava)

Ingredients


Pizza Base

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon oregano (you can skip this step)


Ingredients for Pizza

  • toppings of your choice. I have added broccoli, capsicum and onion.

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Pizza sauce

  • Oregano and chilli flakes.

Instructions


Pizza base


  1. Mix 1 cup wheat flour, salt and 1 teaspoon oregano.

  2. Add water and knead to make a soft dough.

  3. Take a large lemon sized ball from the dough to make a regular sized Pizza.

  4. Dust the dough and the surface, roll out like roti but little thicker.

  5. Take a fork and prick to make tiny holes on the both sides. (this is to ensure that the base doesn't puff up.


Baking Pizza


  1. Transfer the rolled pizza base on to the tava and wait for a minute and flip it (this it to make sure that both sides are cooked).

  2. Apply Pizza sauce generously leaving a small gap around the base so the sauce doesn't run onto the tava becasue of heat.

  3. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on the base and top it with slices onions, broccoli and capsicum. (you can add toppings of your choice).

  4. Sprinkle chilli flakes, oregano and some more cheese to get a cheesy pizza.

  5. Cover the tava with a lid and let it cook for about 5 mins.

  6. Remove the pizza from tava and cut it into slices and Enjoy!
