2cups chickpeas soaked overnight
1 cup chopped coriander
1 cup chopped parsley
1 medium onion chopped
3-4 garlic cloves
2 green chilies (add more if you want it spicy)
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
Soak chickpeas overnight.
Put the soaked chickpeas, chopped onion, coriander, parsley and garlic, lemon juice, coriander powder, cumin powder, soda and salt in a blender and make a coarse paste.
Take out the mixture in a bowl.
Make lemon sized balls of the mixture.
Heat oil to deep fry. Deep fry until the falafel balls are brown and crispy.
Serve with hummus or sauce.
