Bhindi Masala

Prep time: 5 mins Cooking time: 15 mins


Ingredients

  • 3 cups bhindi/lady's finger cut

  • 1 medium onion sliced thin

  • 1 medium tomato sliced

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin and saunf

  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera powder

  • 1/2 tablespoon red chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon garam masala

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tablespoon oil

 

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in pan and add the cut bhindi and fry until the stickiness is gone and they start to brown all around. Keep aside

  2. Add cumin and saunf to the same pan with left over oil.

  3. Add sliced onion and fry until they caramelize .

  4. Add chopped tomato, salt, jeera powder, chili powder and stir.

  5. Let the tomato become mushy. Then add fried bhindi and mix.

  6. Add garam masala and let it cook for 5 mins.

  7. Serve with roti.
