Besan ka cheela

Ingredients


  • 1 cup Besan/Chickpea flour (for 6 servings)

  • 1 tomato

  • 1 onion

  • 1 green chili

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder

  • 1 tablepoon curd

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or as per taste

  • Water as required for the flowing consistency

 

Instructions

Making Besan ka cheela


  1. Dice the onion, tomato.

  2. Blend all the above along with cumin, green chili and garlic into a smooth paste.

  3. Take 1cup besan/Chickpeaflour in a bowl and add the tomato-onion paste to it.

  4. Add curd, salt and chili powder and mix.

  5. Add water to adjust consistency. It should be a flowing consistency like Dosa or Pancake batter.

  6. Heat tava and spread the besan batter gently over the tava with a laddle.

  7. Drizzle oil around the edges. Let it cook over medium flame for 2-3mins.

  8. Flip the cheela over to cook the other side and let it cook for 2-3 mins.

  9. Serve with sauce or chutney or curd.

Add water to adjust consistency. It should be a flowing consistency like Dosa batter.

Heat tava and spread the besan batter gently over the tava with a laddle.

Flip the cheela over to cook the other side and let it cook for 2-3 mins.









Serve with sauce or chutney or curd.
