Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 large tomato

  • 1 medium onion

  • 1 inch ginger

  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds

  • 5-6 garlic cloves

  • half inch cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon groundnuts

  • 4-5 dried red chilies

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon curd

  • 1 tablespoon oil


Instructions


  1. Roughly chop onion and tomato.

  2. Heat oil in a pan, add groundnuts and fry for 2 mins and add coriander seeds and dry red chilies, fry for a minute.

  3. Add ginger, garlic and onion. Saute until onion turns translucent.

  4. Add chopped tomato, add salt and cook until tomato is mushy.

  5. Wait until its cooled and blend it to a smooth paste and pour it back to the pan.

  6. Add little water and bring it to boil and add 1 tablespoon curd and cook for another 2 mins.


It can be served with Pulao or Biryani.
